Deputy Minister Kakar meets with GIZ PMD and PME representatives

Deputy Minister for Refugee Affairs, Wafiullah Kakar, met the representatives of the GIZ Project Migration and Diaspora (PMD) and Project Migration and Development (PME) virtually on 19 January 2020. Deputy Minister Kakar appreciated the GIZ engagement on Afghan migration and diaspora affairs.

GIZ confirmed to assist the MoRR in developing the newly established diaspora affairs department, the implementation of the Afghan National Diaspora Engagement Policy (ANDEP), and provide technical advisory for the “Institute on Migration” at the Ministry.

In this meeting, both sides agreed to advance further and intensify the trustful cooperation between the GIZ and the MoRR.
